Sandy originally met Elvis in Los Angeles at her father's nightclub, The Crossbow. She and Elvis became lifelong friends. Sandy credits Elvis with her marrying another man from Tennessee, TV Host and Radio personality, Wink Martindale, also a lifelong friend of Elvis.
